10 Online Careers You Can Start Today With Basically No Money

Does working from home or any remote location of your choice, while dictating your schedule and having complete control over your career sound good?
If so, you should consider starting an online career. It’s a lot easier than you might think -- thanks to the internet, it’s actually quite simple, requiring much less startup capital than you might imagine.
With a combination of drive, determination and skill, your online career can start almost immediately. Here are ten that you could literally start today.

1. Virtual assistant.

With so many companies operating these days without a physical office location, it has opened up multiple remote opportunities for virtual assistants to handle a wide range of tasks. These include customer service duties, answering phones, setting appointments and screening emails.
You can start small with a single client and then once you identify your specialty or an area you want to focus on -- social media customer service, for example -- you can then begin to take on more clients, thus increasing your earning potential.

2. Business coach.

If you are an expert in a particular field, leverage your knowledge and become a coach, teaching students form all over the world. The internet allows you to reach anyone that is interested, regardless of their geographical location.
Take fellow Entrepreneur contributor Timothy Sykes for example. He is a very successful penny stock trader that used his knowledge and expertise to create a program that teaches his strategies to students that sign up for his challenge program.

3. Freelance content creator.

Virtually every business is doing some form of content marketing these days -- it’s been the buzzword for the past several years, but for good reason -- it works. With everyone trying to capture attention, demand for excellent writers is at an all time high.
Anyone can publish content, but very few businesses are creating compelling content that commands attention and converts their audience into revenue. If you are a skilled writer there is plenty of lucrative opportunities waiting for you.

4. eBay store owner.

Gary Vaynerchuk is a huge fan of garage sales, saying, “The garage sale eBay conversion has some of the biggest margins in the world.” The concept is very simple: buy low and sell high.
This is also a very viable option if you’re looking to raise startup funds. It’s a great bridge for those looking to start an online career but don’t want to abandon the security and paycheck of a 9 to 5 job, because you can hit garage sales on the weekend and handle your auction listings in the evening.

5. T-shirt ecommerce store.

With several print on demand solutions available, it makes starting a t-shirt company much more affordable than it was years ago. In the past, you would have to order large quantities of shirts, in multiple colors and sizes, forcing you to guess what was going to sell.
Now, creative designs and the power of social media can get a t-shirt brand up and running -- and generating revenue -- almost overnight.Chummy Tees is a great example of how you can turn catchy tag-lines and creative designs into a profitable online business.

6. Consultant.

Consulting can prove to be a very lucrative business, granted the person offering their service knows what he or she is talking about. Everyone seems to be a consultant these days, and not only do you have to be able to actually provide value and deliver results, but you need a way to stand out and separate yourself from all of the mediocrity out there.
Over the past year I have transitioned my company from a service provider to a consulting firm. It took over five years of brand building to get to the point we are at now, where companies want to hire us to guide and advise their in-house marketing teams.

7. Affiliate marketer.

There is a wide range of affiliate offers to promote, each paying you for every lead or sale you are responsible for generating. You can promote these offers to an email list that you build, via a blog that you operate or across social media.
This will require more startup capital than the other suggestions on this list, because to really be successful you will need to do a lot of split-testing across multiple paid channels. The really successful affiliates aren’t afraid to spend money on testing and optimization.

8. Social-media influencer.

Yes, this is a real career in 2016. If you have a large and loyal following on social media, you could be earning money promoting products. A lot of money, in fact. Some social media influencers with high engagement are earning thousands of dollars per post, but for good reason: it works. Brands wouldn’t be shelling out that kind of money if they weren’t seeing a return.

9. Vlogger.

YouTube creators who crush it can make millions of dollars a year in advertising revenue. Now, these are few and far between, but there is also a healthy population of creators that are making a comfortable living vlogging.
You have to have an interesting concept or story -- people subscribe to channels that they can relate to. Just like a company needs a unique selling point to push a product, you need a have unique angle if you want to gain traction and attract a vlog following.

10. Graphic designer/web developer.

If you are a graphic designer or know how to write code, then there is a massive audience just waiting to hire you. As a freelancer, you control your hours and you get to pick and choose who you work for. You set your price, pick your projects and end up doing what you love while earning a comfortable living.
Just like in every industry, there are good freelancers and there are bad ones. Take a look at these tips on hiring a freelancer to see what people are looking for when seeking to hire.

3D Printing applications

3D printing is considered to be a great invention of human as it brings about a wide range of applications for us. While at first 3D printing was only a technology for prototyping, this is quickly changing.
Its first application is in medicine field. 3D printed models of human organs have been a frequent tool for surgeons since the last two or three years as they provide a more real view in the issues at hand. Instead of depending on 2D and 3D images on a computer screen, surgeons now can actually touch and feel physical models of the patient’s organs and bone or vein structure or whatever else they are about to work on then they can do their studies and research more easily.
Another application of 3D printing is for aerospace. Due to the unique geometries which are offered by additive manufacturing, agencies such as NASA and the ESA, and numerous aircraft manufacturers are taking use of 3D printing in order to make their aircraft lighter. Complicated geometries and new materials offer superior strength with less mass so that they can save organizations such as NASA boatloads of fuel and obviously money, during the launching of spacecraft or rockets out of our atmosphere. Simultaneously, companies such as Boeing and Airbus are taking advantage of 3D printing to reduce the overall weight of their aircraft, allowing them to cut fuel costs for every flight.
What is more, producing facilities across the globe are using 3D printing as a method to reduce costs, save time and produce better products. Without having to outsource the prototyping of parts, companies are now able to iterate quickly upon designs on the fly, saving weeks of waiting for third parties to return molds or prototypes.
The last application to be mentioned is in Art and Education. 3D printing is capable of bringing the imagination to our life. Artists are not only able to jot their ideas down on a computer screen but also bring those ideas into reality through digital models. Children and young adults are as well. They can visualize concepts, create functional products and learn via hands-on experience.
And in the future, we will see an incredible expansion of the number of primary, secondary and high schools putting 3D printing into their education program. This will support to set these students up for careers which will require 3D printing.

What is 3D printing?

The creation of a 3D printed object is reached by using additive processes. In an additive process, an object is made by laying down continuous layers of material until the object is created. Each of these layers can be seen as a thinly slice horizontal cross-section of the final object.
3d printing starts with making a virtual design of the object you want to create. For instance, this virtual design is a CAD file which stands for Computer Aided Design. This file is made by using a 3D modeling application or with a 3D scanner. A 3D scanner can make a 3D digital copy of an object.
The next term is 3D scanners. They are used to generate a 3D model by using different technologies such as time-of-flight, structured light, volumetric scanning and many others.
Recently, a few companies such as Microsoft and Google activated their hardware to perform 3D scanning. Microsoft’s Kinect is an example. In the future, making real objects to 3D models will become as easy as turning your hand. Furthermore, future versions of smartphones will probably have integrated with 3D scanners.
In terms of 3D modeling software, it also comes in various forms. There is industrial grade software which costs thousands a year per license, but also free open source 3D modeling software. When you are a starter and the amount of choices are too much, which may make you feel confused, it is recommended to begin with Tinkercad. This has a free version and it works in browsers which support WebGL. Google Chrome is an example. They offer starters lessons and has a built in option to get your object printed through various 3D printing services.
Finally, you will have to prepare a 3D model before it is ready to be 3D printed. This is what they often call slicing. Slicing is dividing a 3D model into hundreds or thousands of horizontal layers and needs to be done with software. As soon as the 3D model is sliced, you are ready to feed it to your 3D printer. This can be done by USB, SD or Wi-Fi connection. It also depends on what brand and type 3D Printer you have. As a file is uploaded in a 3D printer, the object is ready to be 3D printed layer by layer. The 3D printer reads every slice and creates a three-dimension object.

Internet Bingo Technology Evolving

The internet bingo industry continues to flourish in the UK and Europe and has attracted millions of players from around the globe. In the UK internet bingo is second only to poker in popularity and internet bingo websites are licensed by the government to assure player safety. Internet bingo has evolved from a relatively primitive online game with crude graphics to one of the most entertaining games available online using the latest technology and sophisticated software. Many internet bingo sites now offer mobile applications and bingo players can now enjoy their favorite game from anywhere with cell phone reception.

Technology is constantly changing and one of the more recent advances has been the switch from downloadable games to those using state of the art flash technologies. Players no longer have to take the time to download games and can now simply log on to their favorite bingo site and play. Many players did not like the old fashioned downloads and switched to sites using flash games. Now almost all internet bingo websites use the latest flash technology. In the UK and Europe competition is fierce and sites that do not keep up with the latest gaming developments are bound to lose players.

Technological innovations allowed bingo sites to introduce side games such as roulette, video poker, slot games and pull tab games. Side games have been well received and are a huge moneymaker for internet bingo websites. A recent survey showed that online roulette is almost as popular as bingo among female players.

The introduction of chat rooms made internet bingo even more popular. The social aspect of bingo was added to internet bingo and provides employment for several chat monitors and hosts. Sites that introduced chat rooms experienced an immediate increase in players proving that talk is profitable! Some sites are expected to introduce video streaming to give their bingo games a more lifelike feel.

Software is being introduced in the UK that protects players from online fraud. Featurespace, a company founded by several members of the engineering department at Cambridge University has developed software that uses behavioural analysis to protect casinos, players and stock trading websites from fraudulent activities. The software protects players from computer bots that can compete with live players for cash prizes. The company has signed contracts with several reputable gaming companies. It is no wonder that so many people are attracted to internet bingo. Bingo bonuses have never been better and with all the new technology being introduced internet bingo can only get better for players!

Uses of GPS Technology for Consumers

Image result for gps picture

GPS Technology is now widely used in consumer devices. The technology allows us to pinpoint the exact location of anything that it is attached to. The biggest use for this is technology is assets that move or tracking people (for legitimate reasons of course!)

More consumers are using GPS Tracking Devices each and every day. The range of applications that the devices are used in seems to be growing, although the general trend is that it is attached to non static objects, generally of value.

Here are 5 different consumer uses for GPS Tracking Technology :

1.Cars and Vehicles

One of the most common uses of GPS Technology is vehicle tracking. With a small device fitted to any vehicle it is easy to monitor the exact location of the asset. This means that if you vehicle is lost or stolen you can easily retrieve it. In some circumstances it may even help you locate your parked car if you have forgotten where you left it - it does happen!

2.Tracking Loved Ones

Kids out playing around the estate or at the local playground? With a discrete GPS Tracking device you can monitor the location of their whereabouts which keeps your peace of mind at rest. WIth certain GPS Tracking systems you can also set up boundaries so if the GPS Tracking devices passes the boundary it signals an alarm or alert.

3.Tracking Pets

GPS Technology can be used both on dogs and cats. How often have you wondered where your cat gets to at night? With a GPS Tracking device you can monitor its exact location and map out its nightly route. If you have a dog that you often let off the lead, you know how quickly they can react to a scent and often forget about who they are with or where they are. Its easy for them to get lost quickly. With a GPS Tracking device fitted to the collar of the dog you can easily locate and retrieve your best friend!

4.Remote Assets

Remote Assets are ideal candidates for GPS Tracking devices. Do you own a boat or a Caravan that is often left unoccupied for large parts of the year? With a GPS Tracking device fitted you can keep a third eye on any unexpected movement of the asset which helps to you to react quickly and track down the exact location of its whereabouts.

5.Sports Events

OK, not all sports events benefit from the use of GPS Tracking devices, but remote sports such as orienteering or mountain trekking certainly can! If your loved one or family member is taking part in a remote trek around a mountain range what better way to keep in touch than knowing exactly where they are. Whats more, some GPS devices also come with the ability to communicate with each other, although these are generally more expensive than standard tracking devices.

All in all, GPS Tracking technology can be used to trace anything that moves. Usually consumers will attach the technology to something of value. There are many more potential uses than the 5 mentioned above, but these are generally the most common.

What are the business benefits of NFC mobile phone technology

Near Field Communications, or NFC, is a new technology with unlimited applications.

NFC uses RFID technology built in to the latest generation of mobile phones to scan or swipe small RFID tags, which can be placed just about anywhere. Tags can be programmed to trigger different actions when they are swiped by phones.

Many businesses or organisations have field based operations that need managing in real time. NFC technology gives these businesses leading edge management capability.

NFC can be used in a diverse array of industries with mobile staff, mobile assets, or multiple sites and locations. Because NFC technology uses readily available NFC enabled mobile phones and inexpensive tags, it can be applied anywhere, and by any type of field personnel.

The key benefits of NFC technology for businesses with a field based operation include:

1. NFC is Easy to Use

Using NFC technology is so simple, it's accessible to just about anyone.

All that's needed to run NFC operations in the field are RFID tags which can be situated in key locations, and NFC-enabled mobile phones.

For field operations staff, using Over-C NFC technology is simplicity itself. Just tough a tag with a phone, and that's it. An automated NFC management system then does the rest, recording the time and location of staff, and sending them any special information or data they may need on their NFC enabled mobile phone.

2. NFC Improves Communication

NFC is an extremely effective way of improving two way communications between managers and their staff in the field.

Whenever a field operative touches an NFC tag with their mobile phone the operational management team receive an instant and verifiable confirmation of the location of field staff. Field staff can benefit from automated reporting, which saves time and improves accuracy.

3. NFC Enables Real Time Management

NFC technology lets businesses operate and respond in real time.

When an NFC tag is touched by a mobile phone, notification is in seconds, so operations managers always know exactly where their field personnel are, and what they are doing.

NFC allows businesses to streamline the way people work at, and report from, remote locations. It also allows field based personnel to focus on what they do best, whilst managers benefit from greater visibility in field operations.

4. NFC Improves Customer Service

NFC technology actively helps businesses to deliver enhanced customer service.

Data reporting by field operations staff becomes faster, more efficient and more accurate.

Field operations managers can use this real time data to generate customer reports and measure results faster than ever before - and faster than their competitors.

In fact, using NFC technology in a business can give it a commercial edge to help it gain and retain high value clients.

The Technology Behind Compression Socks

If you are an avid sports fan, you have probably noticed that certain professional athletes wear certain accessories to enhance their performance. Did you know that compression socks are worn by most athletes? For those of you that do not know what compression socks are, we will go over the technology behind them and how they can actually help an athlete increase their performance in the sport that they play.

Compression socks use a technology that has been used for years by different athletic trainers. The body reacts to exercise by cutting off blood to certain areas, or sending too much blood to areas which cause swelling. Swelling can cause fatigue and soreness in areas of the body that are being used to play a sport. By compressing the area, which is what compression socks do, the extremities will be less likely to swell and the blood flow can be increased to these areas. More blood flow without swelling means less fatigue and less soreness. Compression socks utilize this very technology in order to keep your feet and legs feeling great while running, or playing a sport.

Compression socks are used heavily by people that run as the legs take a pounding while running. This constant pounding motion on the feet and legs can cause the legs and feet to tire out quickly. Compression socks help to keep the legs and feet feeling more lively which can give a runner the advantage that they need to focus more on distance instead of pain in the legs and feet. Compression socks definitely help to constrict these areas which allows for the blood to move much easier, which increases performance and overall comfort of the legs.

Compression socks come in many different colors to be used by athletes with their professional uniforms or gear. This color selection of compression socks makes it easy for anyone that wants to try them out to match them to their workout gear and clothing. Compression socks also come in different thicknesses as you can pick the right thickness to meet your preference. The reason compression socks come in different thicknesses is so that you can get the appropriate compressions socks for the area in which you live. This means that thicker compression socks keep a person warmer during cold weather while thinner compression socks keep a runner cooler in warm weather areas.

Compression socks definitely have the technology and science to back them up, but with all of this science going on, most people think that these types of socks are very expensive. Compression socks are actually extremely affordable as they only cost about $10 dollars a pair, which makes them literally affordable for any person that wants to give them a try. The best thing to do is to order a few pairs that differ in color and thickness so that you can pinpoint which type of compression socks work the best for you and your exercising regime. Once you have figured this out, you will love to wear these types of socks when working out and exercising as they provide you with an amazing amount of benefits.

The Threat to Privacy by GSM Technology

The technology used in mobile phones is increasingly finding its way into eavesdropping devices. The use of bugs based on mobile phone technology (GSM) allows spies to monitor private conversations from anywhere in the world.

 What is GSM?

GSM (Global System for Mobile) communications is an open, digital cellular technology used for transmitting mobile voice and data services. In very simple terms, GSM technology works by searching GSM networks to find nearby mobile phone masts to transfer voice, data and SMS between mobile phones.

GSM technology was originally created in 1982 by the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT), who designed the Groupe Spcial Mobile (GSM) with the aim of creating a pan-European mobile phone technology.

Thanks to GSM's international roaming capabilities, it is now the most widely used mobile phone technology. According to the GSMA (the GSM Association), terrestrial GSM networks now cover more than 80% of the world's population. That's more than 6 billion people across more than 218 countries.

 The GSM bugging threat

With the advantages brought by the wide coverage GSM technology offers, comes a growing threat to privacy. The same GSM technology used to service mobile phones is also used in the world of covert surveillance and spying to eavesdrop on private conversations from anywhere in the world.

This is possible through using GSM audio bugging devices that use specially adapted mobile phone technology to listen in and transmit conversations taking place in one location to another. These devices work in the same way as mobile phones and can be used anywhere you can use a mobile phone.

Once hidden in the target location, the GSM bug waits silently in standby mode until the eavesdropper calls the SIM card number being used in the device. At this time the call is silently answered and the microphone activated, allowing the caller to listen in to conversations taking place in the nearby vicinity. When the conversation has ended the bug is then switched back to standby (passive) mode. Other more advanced devices have the facility for sound, vibration and motion activation whilst others can be manually or remotely set by SMS commands.

These bugging devices are small and discreet and are normally concealed within innocent looking items that are frequently found around the home or office. Because they use GSM technology they can even pick up audio whilst on the move, just like mobile phones, so are not limited to static locations. This makes them ideal for picking up conversations in cars, or they can even be slipped inside a pocket or handbag to ensure a target is constantly monitored wherever they are.

How to spot GSM bugging devices?

Not only are GSM devices getting smaller and more sophisticated, making them hard to detect, but their signals are often lost amongst legitimate GSM and mobile phone communications. This is a particular problem when being operated in urban areas, which where most eavesdropping targets tend to be located.

It is for this reason that using professional counter surveillance services is the only practical option for effectively detecting and dealing with these bugs. Counter surveillance specialists have the training, experience and equipment needed to detect, locate and deal with the presence of GSM bugs. In particular, these experts are able to find both active and passive GSM bugs in order to provide a 100% secure environment.

Technology Continues to Shrink

For people in the technology world, bigger does not usually mean better. Instead, smaller packages are the expected results from investment and improvements. Computers and consoles have been subjected to skimming down and now projectors are also being produced on a smaller scale.

Electronic gadgets are continually advancing and becoming increasingly sophisticated. Whilst LCD TV screens are breaking boundaries with growing sizes and higher resolutions, other elements are shrinking. Flat screen TVs are becoming even slimmer and many other products are also shrinking in size.

The most notable example of miniaturisation in recent times would probably be in the portable computer market. Thanks to the manufacturer Asus, laptops have been complimented by netbooks. Although these are not yet quite as powerful as standard laptops, netbooks are growing in popularity for their simplicity. They perform their primary functions extremely well, enabling users to surf the web efficiently and use basic word processing software and such. The added portability is a bonus even if the loss of functionality and power is a bit of a turn off. Desktop computers have also been influenced by miniaturisation. Acer has already managed to successfully shrink the PC, packing in as much power into them as their standard equivalents. These min machines also double up as living room media centres too.

Another example of a product getting smaller can be seen with games consoles. Sony appeared to start this trend by remodelling their original PlayStation design for the re-launch of the PSOne. This continued with subsequent Sony consoles as the hugely successful PlayStation 2 also reappeared in a thinner format towards the end of its lifecycle. Its fair to assume that the PlayStation 3 will also eventually become smaller as development continues to be invested in it. Portable consoles have also been given this treatment, again Sony changing their PSP for a marginally smaller and lighter version. Nintendo have also given their DS console a similar treatment too.

Projectors are also reducing in size. Optoma has produced a truly outstanding product in the Pico pocket projector. Roughly the size of a modern day mobile phone, this small projector is capable of beaming images from media devices at up to a maximum of 60 inches, roughly 1.5m. The size may seem small in comparison to normal sized projectors, but to be able to render a display of that size is hugely impressive for the size of the projector. The technology involved in making these work is truly incredible. Via a miniature USB connection, you will be able to project images and videos from a mobile phone or video player.

Storage media also hasnt escaped this progression either. SD cards and Sonys Memory Sticks both now come in much smaller sizes. These were developed almost out of necessity as smaller devices required expandable memory such as mobile phones and cameras. Again, cramming the full size functionality into a much smaller space requires a great deal of time and effort.

The progress made in technology is amazing in itself. The fact that manufacturers are able to both increase functionality, yet decrease the space in which theyre placed is on another level. In todays society, advancements will continue to be made and it is anticipated that they will also be getting smaller too.

Expanding education- Technology to review education

Dear readers, this is not my regular work of technology or tech news review. Consider it a highly imagined piece where realistic assumptions are made with collective goodwill to expand the education base. What and how are decided once we are willing to understand the power that digital world gives us in improving life in large scale and have that illusive peaceful sleep. Technology no doubt is going through too many disruptions where there is innovation and mainly more so in the internet world but there is more scope.

First the opportunities. With Skype being downloaded wholesale it is already time for this app to work to deliver online classes. Even in some parts there are classes where international professionals are taking voluntary classes for economically backward masses. The main communication system here is definitely vernacular so that you do not need to teach them anything added for language in priority. Language can move forward with other subjects simultaneously. Once this is implemented it is better as the students will learn more practical oriented education rather than the conventional knowledge and attention challenging theories from these professionals. A very significant role is played by games if they are designed properly in online education.

Why games? This is a sort of entertainment and children will be more attentive to them. So even complex ideas can be easily executed and delivered once you have their full attention. Similarly to test their level of education it is better to use games as there also they will welcome the challenges of the games more than the conventional tests. This way there can be smooth early education for children and then comes the part of monitoring and designing fitting course curriculum. There lie our toughest challenges.

To monitor very individual and find their suitable vocations will need keen evaluation of their progress and at no point we can abandon those students. It is better to remember that most of these students are first generation of learners and they will have difficulty to grasp the education process. So we will have to suite the education to their liking. It is not that tough. We need to keep analysing our every move and monitor their effects.

If the prospects are understood more companies will come up with newer apps for these purposes, they will definitely do once they understand the enormity of their work. What will it give? Reduce education costs and the subsidies used in it. This is where you can save lot of money for other developmental work. This free money can even be used for building infrastructure of education these students will need and spread the process of education worldwide.

There will be difficulties. As the complexity of subjects increase more students will try the escape route. They will desert midway. It is for us to make them understand the impact difference of education can have in their life. Once we can do that we can move to keep them for longer time. Still some will desert. This is natural even in schools and there will come another technology to disturb our status quo of education completely. Till then we can work on our existing ideas.

Put Computer Technology into Practical Teaching

In today's technological world, you know how important it is for students to use computers on a regular basis. The challenge is to use technology effectively to enhance learning. Incorporating technology into your daily lessons and activities is a practical way to teach students that computer skills are important for more than just surfing the Internet. In particular, the PowerPoint is the most important tool that more and more teachers used in there practical teaching in order to make insightful visual experience and make student focused!

A slide show can present and illustrate an event in history, or explain a geometric proof in math. It can illuminate an oral book report, or report the results of a science experiment. Teachers use slide shows as backdrops to their lectures, students use them to deliver reports, and schools use them to show the community what they are doing. A slide show can be a valuable tool for teaching, sharing and learning.

I was always interested in helping students make real-world connections in project-based curriculum. With the increased availability of computer technology and Internet resources, I saw an even greater avenue for instruction.

How can we change this terrible situation? Do you have a suggestion for educators?

We think that good teachers will always be good teachers no matter whether they use PowerPoint or not  are they able to keep students attention? I use PowerPoint in all my classes and students often tell me how interesting the classes are. Its the PowerPoint that makes students bored, In my personal experience, I create a PowerPoint for my lesson plain with a powerful assistant, that PowerPoint to video converter, it is a nice aid that I can create attractive Presentation.

It will help you create captivating and attention-grabbing classroom presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. You'll learn basic PowerPoint skills such as creating slides, using templates, inserting text, changing background colors, creating WordArt titles, and adding slide transitions. You'll also develop advanced skills such as inserting graphics, sound, and video, custom animations, timed transitions, and hyperlinks.

You'll be able to publish your presentation on a school Web site or even take your PowerPoint shows on the road. You'll also be able to create presentations filled with scanned drawings created by your students or digital photograph slide shows. This class will assist you in learning these skills.

By using PowerPoint to video tool to create your presentation, you can maintain a record of the material that you cover during the school year. Students who miss lesson topics, or have difficulty understanding them, can easily revisit them later, by adding intuitive audio and animation to make the students understood and accepted more efficiently. Of course, there are plenty of other factors outside of multimedia presentations that affect student learning. Its safe to say a teachers skills are still more important than the visual method used to deliver the courses curriculum. Nevertheless, we can all use a little help with our teaching, and a PowerPoint slideshow that enhances, rather than detracts from or slows down, the learning process is all to the good.

Hows all this Technology working for YOU

Do you feel better because you are always "plugged in" or have more stress because you are?
 When was the last time you;
Arranged a meeting outside your office
Picked up the phone to talk to someone instead of sending an email
Gave your fingers a "rest" from texting
 Hand wrote a letter
Turned off the Smart Phone on the weekend
Took time out for your-self to recharge
Exercised, did yoga, meditated or read a book?

Yes using technology is a necessity for survival and economic growth in todays world without borders. The challenge as Jerry Bridge of LifeWorks Education said is:

"to learn how to use the technology we have invented rather than allow it to use us, so that it improves our human connections and does not replace them."

Remember those human connections when we used to shake hands and meet people, talk on the phone, write letters, go to trade shows and conventions  today it is all about being LinkedIn, Blogged, Tweeted, Meeting On Line, Skypeing, and being tied to the Internet! I yearn for the days when phone calls were private now everywhere I go I am bombarded with peoples conversations on their blue tooth enabled phone that I have no interest in hearing and topics that should not be shared in public. Put them behind the wheel of a car, and now you have a one-handed driver distracted by a phone conversation, when they should be focused on the road and drivers around them.

Todays generation has evolved to have the fastest fingers on a mini key board, but they are challenged when it comes to composing a letter or holding a conversation! As a Father of Gen X children, I am a prisoner of unanswered phone calls, but text messages keep me in-touch with loved ones through their chosen communication medium. Although this fills my glass half full, I miss the sound of their voices. Texts and emails can be so bland and one dimensional, while in a conversation you can detect subtleties, emotions and laugh together  replacing them with LOL and OMG is just not the same!

The same applies to business, where the email has become the standard with its own lexicography and rules. Be careful not to CAPITALIZE words though or you could be unintentionally (or intentionally) sending a message you would think second about doing in person. Google voice search records and keeps conversations people have around their phones – but the files can be deleted

Just talking is enough to activate the recordings – but thankfully there's an easy way of hearing and deleting them

Google could have a record of everything you have said around it for years, and you can listen to it yourself.
The company quietly records many of the conversations that people have around its products.
The feature works as a way of letting people search with their voice, and storing those recordings presumably lets Google improve its language recognition tools as well as the results that it gives to people.

It’s found by heading to Google’s history page and looking at the long list of recordings. The company has a specific audio page and another for activity on the web, which will show you everywhere Google has a record of you being on the internet. But it also comes with an easy way of listening to and deleting all of the information that it collects. That’s done through a special page that brings together the information that Google has on you.
The new portal was introduced in June 2015 and so has been active for the last year – meaning that it is now probably full of various things you have said, which you thought might have been in private.
The recordings can function as a kind of diary, reminding you of the various places and situations that you and your phone have been in. But it’s also a reminder of just how much information is collected about you, and how intimate that information can be.
You'll see more if you've an Android phone, which can be activated at any time just by saying "OK, Google". But you may well also have recordings on there whatever devices you've interacted with Google using.
On the page, you can listen through all of the recordings. You can also see information about how the sound was recorded – whether it was through the Google app or elsewhere – as well as any transcription of what was said if Google has turned it into text successfully.
But perhaps the most useful – and least cringe-inducing – reason to visit the page is to delete everything from there, should you so wish. That can be done either by selecting specific recordings or deleting everything in one go.
To delete particular files, you can click the check box on the left and then move back to the top of the page and select “delete”. To get rid of everything, you can press the “More” button, select “Delete options” and then “Advanced” and click through.
The easiest way to stop Google recording everything is to turn off the virtual assistant and never to use voice search. But that solution also gets at the central problem of much privacy and data use today – doing so cuts off one of the most useful things about having an Android phone or using Google search.
